Arson attack at martial arts school in Dublin city centre overnight

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an arson attack on a premises in Dublin city centre.

The incident happened at a jiu jitsu school on Townsend Street in Dublin 2 in the early hours of this morning.

Dublin Fire Brigade extinguished the fire and made the area safe. No injuries were reported. 

The building has been taped off and a number of gardaí and garda vehicles remained at the scene this morning. 

The fire damage was clearly visible along the exterior of the building, with windows and shutters destroyed by the fire. 

Gardaí said no arrests have been made at this time.
